Not a bad muffler at all, not the loudest flowmaster either. The 40 series is what most people consider the "flowmaster", a super 44 still gives you the signature sound but its a little quieter.

Thanks for clarifying that I was looking at a few flowmasters 40s+44s for 70-80$ I was wondering what the difference is. Im going with 2.5 though. I want the most flow I can get. I wish I could find a cheaper way to go with 3" like the borla exhaust. Kolak also has one. But its all a little over my price range. You wont see a gain unless you get a better cat though. Sound will be nice though. Its funny how the standard for the 4.0 is 2.25 and they try to use the same on the 5.2. I think it should be 3" pipe. That's my theory. But Im attempting to take all of the 2.25 out of my exhaust for 2.5. Since I cant have 3" because of cost. Not to mention I couldn't find a 3" y pipe. The size off each of my headers is 2.25 for each then compresses together to 2.5 then after the cat back to 2.25 doesn't make any sense. The engineering of this exhaust is retarded.

I think most would recommend Magnaflow. That's what's on mine along with a 40 series Flowmaster.

Im going with the magnaflow. High flow. If it was just a wheeler or I did not have to worry about emissions I would be going with something like this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/130784055540...84.m1497.l2649

Whats funny is the high performance cats are cheaper than the stock cats.

The stock cats have far more catalyst in them. That stuff is expensive.

No problem glad I could help. They also have different size in/out pipe. That's the 2.5 od one Because I had been thinking it over.

I had a Super 44 on my 98 5.2. I thought it sounded really good. Especially for the price. Nice and throaty yet not overly loud at highway/cruise speeds.

if it was just a wheeler and didnt have to worry about emissions i would just put a piece of exhaust tube there rather than waste money on something like that
