Poly motor mounts for V8?

I have a bad mount so I figured I'd replace them all. I don't want solid but I'd like something stiffer than factory. Do they make them? If so, where can I get them?

I had a bad one once and just used the ones from Napa.

Why would stiffer than factory help? Kinda seems superfluous.

I guess you wouldn't know if you've never used them.

With poly mounts you'll be transfering a lot more engine vibrations into the cab...If your stock ones lasted 15 years, think another pair of stock ones will get you by until your done with your Jeep?

I have poly mounts in my MR2 and van, and I had them in both my Camaro's. I'll never not have them again if they make them!

Shifts are easier and smoother. No engine movement when you jab on the gas. And no, it wasn't just because I needed new mounts in the first place. The van had brand new ones! There is a lot of slop in factory mounts.

Barely any obvious vibration increase. Might notice it in the pedals some or the mirrors. I'm talking about poly mounts, not solid mounts.

poly mounts transfer only a little more vibrations than stock rubber ones, solid mounts are for a straight line racer only imo.
they certainly help with power transfer.

aaron7,

I really think your overestimating the ZJ. However, if you think you can actually feel the difference in performance from stock to poly bushings, get them and be very happy.

Not even for the Ram or Durango? That's sad. Guess no one cares about performance when it comes to soccer mom mobiles.

Aaron7,

you make some very bold statements about Grands. IF you had checked over at www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums you'd had seen that the speed freaks are very aware of the performance aspects. I know of two 5.2 motors that were stroked out to 408s from the 318s. I think they know a little about performance.

Are you looking for a specific input? Do you feel that you aren't getting the best advice? Where else have you looked for advice on this matter?
