Yea, imagine that ripping apart going 70 mph down the highway. No steering and screwed brakes lol. Could have easily made the obituaries. I wouldn't trust it anymore. Rust is too sneaky.

Keep your jeep and get a Long arm kit for it. It gets you (obviously) new arms and new mounting to mount said arms. Itd be an option if you wanted to keep her

I thought about a long arm kit. I really did. But once you go that route, Id wanna to tons and 35-36" rubber and I'd still have a rusty clam underneath. I think I'll milk this a little longer, locate another heep somewhere and convert this into some type of buggy. I want something completely doorless and hatchless, 2 seat hunting buggy. Dovenose maybe. Shes worth more than 300.00 at the scrapper.

You could run 35's on an hp30 and a trussed 44. But yeah I get what you mean. Rust is sketchy.
