Plenum Gasket
I pretty sure i have this going out on my 1994 ZJ. It always puffs out a cloud of smoke at startup. Took of the air intake cover over the TB, It had a light oil residue. Is this really nessasary to fix. It only burns a quart of oil every 1k even with 265k.

With that many miles, it would also be very possible that the valve guides in the heads are worn. That would also cause similar symptoms, and would be normal at that milage.

When a plenum gasket is leaking you wont see any of the oil burning. You just get a lot of pinging & oil consumption.
