Please Help - How do permanently disarm factor alarm?

Yesterday I came out of work and unlocked my 95 GC Orvis with the key (don't have a remote) and opened the back door and the alarm went off - I tried everything and the only way I could stop it was pulling the battery cable and when I'd re-attach it, it would alarm again. Well then AAA car finally got it to stop by unlocking the car using the lock on the hatch (I tried the passenger side but not the back). Anyway I guess the sensor or whatever that disalarms the alarm in the driver side door is shot and now I just want to kill the alarm forever. Even worse was the ignition imobilizer - you'd start the car with the alarm going off and it dies after a few seconds.

What is the easiest way to permanently disable the alarm w/o affecting anything else?

Thanks

One thing that might help in the meantime: lock all your other doors using the power lock button but use the key to lock the driver's door.If you lock ALL your doors using power lock before closing the driver's door, this sets the alarm.
