Are People Painting Their Trackbar?

I've seen more and more Jeep with colored track bars and tie rods. Are they merely buying from brands who offer colored equipment or is painting them the thing to do? I kinda like it. It's a nice way to add some color accents. I assume it'd be rather safe if you meticulously masked everything. I don't think I've ever heard someone say they got DW and went off the road because a couple oz's of paint.

Painting my Trackbar cured my DW... It works like a harmonic balancer... just needs a couple oz of paint.

This can't be serious.

Absolutely!!! you can use it to balance out your tires too, other great uses is to cure cracked rubber bushings in your track bar and control arms.

You can even use it to fill in and repair the worn track bar bolt hole on the axle!!!.

If you purchase the optional grease Zerk fitting adapter you can even repair any wear gaps and lube all your TRE's and ball joints along with reconditioning your dust boots at the same time!!!! WOW!!!

If you also use it on your yolks, drive shafts and U joints!, its a miracle cure for incorrect pinion angles too!!!

So yes its a cure all for everything that ails your jeep including the dreaded DW!!!    :D :D :D :D

If you want them a different color, paint them.

In all seriousness, the paint is really just a protector from all the rust of these jeeps seem to find...

Smokey1r 09-23-2013 11:12 AM

I know its to protect the metal from rusting but I light of the first comment I couldn't help my self!!! :D

Hahha seriously? Who would've thought. Rustoleum would work best for this application, right?

It depends on what color you paint them. From what I've seen online, Lime Green is a good color...

Oldfrog 09-24-2013 03:25 PM

I used bedliner on mine. Cured DW, gave me better mileage and chicks dig it.

pageman 09-24-2013 04:56 PM
