Painted my grill

I used this soft block that was like 1000 grit and just scuffed it VERY lightly. The color looks very close to others I see on the street. Duplicolor Radiant Silver

Here are pics from before/after.

So there are 3 different pieces on the 02 and up grill? Middle (silver), Outer trim (Body Color), And the Black vent piece?

Well you are correct about there being 3 pieces to it but the grill only came on 04 WJs. 99-03 never got that style of grill unless you custom fit one like this.

Thanks!

I actually had a darker picked out, but until I got a can of paint that actually worked, it was a lighter color. Now I'm thinking of doing the lower rad support part of the bumper.

Yea this dog is quite a PITA. He goes out and craps in three different spots everytime, can't make just one pile. He did that while I was painting and giving me that goofy look while he did it.

It's not very glossy but seems to have quite a bit of metal flake in it.

Wouldn't see why not, just prep it good and let the paint fly.

Be sure to clear coat it. A lot.

I used that exact color of paint once on a set of rims and without adequate clear coat, it attracted all kinds of dirt and looked like crap in a few months.
