I removed the bumpers, but did not remove the cladding. Wish I did, woulda made it a lot easier. Right now the cladding is off waiting to get a new coat, cause people kept slamming car doors into it and chipping the paint...

ZTE87, that rear bumper is pretty mean looking. You say it's custom? Did you have it made or DIY? It looks good! I have been looking for something like that for mine but $$$$.

Here is my 98. I used Rustoleum spray on bed liner to do mine. I cleaned and scuffed the cladding real good before painting them. I took my time and masked real well before I painted the side cladding and rear bumper. I went ahead and removed the front bumper to paint it. It took about 3 cans total to do mine. I am planning to go back and repaint the wheel wells up to the next body line when I get some time.

i used some spray on bed liner. probably wouldve gone with krylon fusion if i had known about it at the time. there are just some small spots where it chips off. i just used a wet cloth to wipe all the dirt off and a paper towel to dry. put one 2-3 coats. and i took the bumpers off and left the cladding on

I used rust olium bed liner for mine about 3 cans thinking about going all the way to the pin stripe, works great so far hides some of my damage (trees jumping out at me)..haha and scratchs too
