Paint jobs

so i gots me a new paint job to actually make my jeep look decent but from what i can tell by the paint job it is anything but deceint... its freakin awesome is what it is!!! no longer do i have oxydation on the roof and hood of my car and i no longer have a mismatched gray door on a black grand. the job i had done was from earl scheib in el cajon, California. guy was willing to deal with me and i got a bargain for 650 bucks plus three coats of paint and integrated clear coat. he also made the emblems look freakin sick by painting over them as to make them seem like the jeep has rised lettering (painted grand cherokee limited emblem and jeep emblem and 4x4 emblem.) and needless to say it looks awesome! because of this kick butt paint job i now think i have to change my registry information. the jeeps new name is dark knight. point being to this post is that if youre looking for a cheap, but professional, paint job then go to a local earl scheib (and not maaco which gives you the cheapest job for 900 plus integrated clear coat with one coat of paint.) earl scheib did a fantastic job and i am really happy with it! great price and great job! two thumbs up

Glad you're happy.

Anyone familiar with an Earl Scheib paint business knows full well they love to paint over everything!!!!! chrome, glass, emblems, bumpers, no problem!, they have it covered...... with paint and over spray!!!!.
In fact i remember the ads on TV years and years ago with Earl him self saying in his nasally voice...." I'll paint any car any color for $99.95!!!"

The last bid {which is the one I'll eventually go with} was 2800 for mine, but all the bumpers and cladding and mirrors and hood vents will be painted off the jeep with a dentless hood installed and some minor body stuff.

Yeah a good quality paint job is expensive, mostly all labor.

When I painted my Jeep it ran me $3000,that was at cost and no labor. If I would have had someone else do the work it would have been closer to $9000.
