P1282 code

i found out today how to look for codes on my jeep by turning the key on/off 3 times..

code P1282 comes up for a few seconds then goes away and it says done so not sure what that means as far as the code this is what it says at WJ JEEPS....

"Fuel Pump Relay Control Circuit - An open or shorted condition detected in the fuel pump relay control circuit".

what does this mean to the average non mechanic guy like my self..by the way i have an 01 4.0 JGC and have been having rough idle surges not to bad but there there..YES ive done a tuneup ,IAC ,throttle clean and all that... could this issue (code) be my problem

Well i dont know about easy, but if you dont have much knowledge about elec then bring it to them, just write down what I provided, because that is what is wrong.
