that sounds good! will I have to change the front pinion flange for the u joint style shaft and also I can just buy the front section of the shaft correct?

Ive always just bought the entire shaft. Yeah youll need a different, ujoint style yoke.

You have a 46RE transmission so I would assume that a 46RH transmission (found in older ZJ's) would be the same length. I could be wrong on this though.. This being said, I would get a DS from a 93-95 5.2 zj.

Any DS from a 4.0 will be too long.

46RE stands for electric

46RH stands for hydraulic

Negative they aren't connected. With this lift the rear sway bar is removed completely. Front is disconnected right now just haven't felt like messing with it lol. It's not my daily driver just my weekend luxury play toy!
