open rear hatch

Hello all, I 'm new to this site and can use your help. I just picked up my 2003 jeep grand cherokee laredo, and I can't figure out how to open the rear hatch from inside the truck, I looked everywhere. Somebody please help me. How do I open the reardoor/hatch. Thanks.

I don't know of any GC that can be opened from the inside. But I have never been in one that new.
