open door

hey guys.. quick question.. when you open a door on the jeep, the lights go on.. what is that piece called ( it's on the frame & is spring loaded)... Mine is shot & the lights do not turn on..

I thought it was called a door switch. I could be wrong. I haven't had one go bad before. I've had to rewire mine, but that's it. Check your wiring first.

Yea, it is called a door switch. I had to replace 2 of them on my old mustang when I bought it.
