Old school Bumpers?

Lookin into fabin my own bumpers. But I'm tired of the look of most ZJ bumper designs. They all look generally the same.
Ive had the Idea of maybe gettin some chrome bumpers off old trucks and workin em to fit.

Anyone ever done done this? Ideas? Comments? Pics?

side note: how hard is it to remove chrome?

There was a thread here recently about someone who mounted a Chevy s10 front bumper on his ZJ. looked pretty good actually. I'll see if I can find the thread.
