One thing I found when fixing mine though, it is not enough just to run a coathanger down through the drain hole, you also need to run it up toward the drain tray as well. In other words, carefully run the wire UPWARD toward the dash board and check to see that it is draining properly from that direction as well.

Mine was clogged at that point and when I broke loose the clog, I thought I was going to flood the entire interior before I could get the wire out and plug the hole with my finger. It seemed like well over two gallons of water was trapped in there and had to run out. Good news is that it has been working fine ever since.
I tried both and neither worked. I stuck a bit in and siliconed all around the bit and the seal. Gonna let it sit for 24 hrs and re seal again than give it a shot.

For the light issue. look at the light inside under the roof in the cargo area. open the tail gate glass a press on the light it self, It too is a switch. if it is actuated the interior lights will stay on even if the dash panel slide switch is off and doors are closed.

And if its not the drain hose causing the leake look underneath your jeep for some rust on the bottom near the floor area of the jeep. That was the issue with my friends WJ.
