well i'm also trying to find it as my gauge is going all crazy.. some say it's behind the distributor it's a tight area and so far I have not been able to find it. Let me know if you find a way to take it off

Was going to answer but it sounds like you found it. Yes , it has the two wires coming out of the top of it to the left of the distributor.

Yea its a pain. Right in the back behind the intake manifold. . .

Dont be stupid like me and accidentally put the new sender in one of the open threaded holes in the intake manifold. . .

Was a guizer of Oil. Then i did it again with another hole right near it. haha

on the 5.2 you cannot see it you have to feel for it...take your hand hopefully urs are not too big and you see the distributor, push your hand down to the left of the distributor and down there you will feel it...i had to get a long socket so that it would go down over the plug part of the sensor i believe its a 1 or 1 and 1/16 socket that i used -- its easy to measure by the new one -- should be same size...the plug will prob break off when you go to replace it and just make sure you're careful putting the new on on...i had to put the socket down on the sensor, then a small extension then put the wrench - -you have such limited space....takes bout 30 min in between cussing and drinkin more beer...lol

Yea its the thing stickin up beside the distributer.

Go to the auto parts store and buy yourself a 1-1/16" Oil Pressure Sending Unit Socket. They are like 5 bucks and you will get your use from it if you use it once.

ok guys ready for this one??? i have had a small oil leak for about a month.. figured probably valve cover gasket, as i just had them off and painted them not long ago... NOPE!!
Today I changed the oil.. then what was a very small leak became a waterfall of oil... I searched and saw that it was pouring out of my sending unit...!! I'm not sure how bad off we are yet but i had to use over 3 gallons of oil to get home form about 10 miles away.. got home in a HUGE cloud of smoke and an empty oil dipstick.. please everyone, cross your fingers and knock on some wood for me and my ZJ..
