oh ya
specs. 96 GC V8 ya oil is leaking into the air filter
thanks
also i noticed that the stuff you guys gave me was all info on the problem on the 4.0 I6 but i have the problem on my brothers 96 V8 (5.2???) anyways i think my sig may have confused you.
thanks
On the 5.2 check the PCV system to be certain it's not clogged. The PCV valve is in the passenger side valve cover, so check that it's loose and opening. Check hose to intake for cracks and restriction. Check nipple in intake to ensure it's not clogged. Air is drawn through breather in driver's side valve cover, circulates through the engine, and ends up going through the PCV valve into the intake.
If any restriction, or excessive blowby, the pressure will build inside the engine and push the fumes/oil mist back into the air filter.
