Dealers often switch hitches from one vehicle to another. Customer wants the tow package, but wants it on that color vehicle that didn't have the hitch. So, to make the sale, the dealer puts the hitch from one on a different vehicle.

The 1998 models did not get an auxiliary transmission cooler.

Sorry, my bad. I was thinking about the wrong vehicle. Still should be in front of the radiator. But Rat is probably right about it not being there. He's also right about dealers. You never know what they put on or take off a car. I wonder how many people think they have a tow package because the dealer through a hitch on. Or don't realize they have one because the dealer took it off. Hell, my dad bought a Lincoln town car one time and one of the headlights didn't work. They must have been out because we watched as the mechanic popped the hood on one of the cars on the lot and took a bulb out.

Hitch hardware

I just installed a Mopar hitch today. Installation documention says to use 12mm x 1.75 nuts on the studs and 12mm x 1.75 x 45mm bolt in the front holes. The nuts on the studs were perfect. The front bolt hole looks more like a smaller fine thread bolt would fit, the 12mm x 1.75 isn't even close. Any one else have this issue, or know the correct size bolt?
