Figured I'd start a build thread on my 95 ZJ Laredo I picked up last October.... Better late than never right? lol. Well, its a 4.0, 168,000 miles, Dana 30/35, NP231, & a P.O.S. 42RE lol (Contemplating an AX-15 swap). Picked it up from a guy that owned it since 2006 & had only put 18,000 miles on it. He parked it in 2008 because his mechanic said it needed a TCM, and he didn't want to pay to have it fixed... So for 2 years it sat on the side of his house until I came across it on Craigslist. He was asking $1,300 for it so I gave him a call...
When I went to look at it, it fired right up. It needed a muffler, had a new catalytic converter, & needed a tune-up... After talking with him for 15 minutes, I owned it for $600!! Not a bad deal if I may say so I've done a bunch of things to it since I've had it.. Tune-up, all fresh fluids & filters, IAC, TPS, idler pulleys, brakes, etc.. Threw on a 4" lift with 31" Grabber AT2's mounted on Jeep Ecco wheels, & some 1.5" wheel spacers. Still need to get trackbars, and I'm thinking about getting different wheels also..
I'm posting up all pics that I currently have so let me know what you guys think!! Sorry if the pics are a little big! lol

Great Job! Love those Ecco wheels! From Zero to Hero.
Thanks, I appreciate it Now that I looked at the pics of it when I first got it, I realize how horrible it looked comapred to now! haha... I didn't think it looked too bad when I got it tho. I've seen alot worse for alot more than the $600 I paid.
i gotta say. thats a good looking truck. kinda looked like a scrap yard dog when u got it tho... good job
Other than the broken rear bumper and the missing window the outside really wasn't bad.. The guy said someone smashed the window to steal the radio out of it.. I laughed when he told me all they got was the factory radio haha.. Someone must've really needed that factory tape player, lol..
Can't quite tell, but it looks like the same Moss green pearl as my 95. Those Eccos wheels look very sharp as well. The attempt by the po to black-out the stock canyon wheels with flat-black rattlecan really looks sad. No matter cause you've got her lookin good now!!
Damn near identical to mine, except you actually did a few things I have been putting off for a while. How hard was the whole cladding and bumper painting?
Also, what was involved in installing the overhead console? Been wanting one for awhile now.
The painting was pretty easy... I just scuffed everything up, washed it with soap & water, then sprayed it with some semi-flat black.
The overhead wasn't too bad, had to cut the hole in the headliner since there wasn't one there, then just ran the wires. I still have some more wires to hook up tho, only the lights on it are working right now. Still have to hook up the display.
