Its a socket with a slot in the side for the sensor wire.
You shouldnt need it.
You can get right in there with regular wrench.
Its the same as turning a bolt.

I found the cheapest price for mine, 4.0L sensors, at NAPA. I also checked Autozone and dealer. My engine requires 4 sensors. Price between $28 and $35.

Sometimes there is not much room to swing the wrench, so choose an Open-end wrench if available rather than an adjustable one. I cut the wires off and used the appropriate Deep-well socket.

Best price I found on 02 sensors for a 4.7 was actually at the dealer.

Autozone wanted $130/each.

I don't remember what Napa's price was.

The dealer was around $80.

If you need to use the box-end of a wrench, the connector wont fit through, so its another case of cut the wires, then get the wrench on it. But yeah, the tool is not really needed. I have one and never use it.

A little anti-seize on the threads is a good idea too.

I got my 02 sensor for something like 49 dollars from ngk, in terms of removal I got angry and beat it off. then a simple socket. To reinstall I got 1 of those extra sockets (not sure of size, I think 9/16's) and screwed the new 1 in.
