O2 sensor + jb weld = ?

When I took my o2 sensor out I could not re thread the new one. The threads were shot. I sanded down the threads and jb welded it on with the marine weld. Then I just thought... "I wonder if it'll get too hot?" Any thought

Any muffler shop can weld in a new threaded bung in about 15 minutes or less.

why not? you can drive without an o2 sensor, it will just throw a check engine light and might not run absolutely perfect.
