NV249 transfer case leaking

I have a 94 with a V8. Just had the transmission rebuilt and now my transfer case is leaking all over the place. Started leaking on the way home from the tranny shop. it's leaking from every seal in the thing. Input seal, output shaft seal, middle of the case, all over the place. Tranny shop manager says that there is no vent that could have gotten clogged when I asked him about it. Says he'll re-seal the transfer case for $220. I don't think that's the problem. I found a hose going from the top of the transfer case to the transmission housing. I don't exactly know where it goes into the transmission housing, because you can't see a thing around there. Anybody familiar with this transfer case? is this what happens when the vent gets plugged? Help me out please.
