Np231 issue

I have a 93 4.0 with the np231. Got stuck in a sticky situation and flooded the tranny with water. So I proceeded to flush it until it was completely out, issue is, when I'm in 4 wheel for a period of time or stress it a bit, it whines very loud, to be more specific ( makes the same whiring noise as if you were going in reverse with a manual trans.) is the t-case gonna go or do I have time to save it and what do I do?

Did you flush the tcase as well? They don't, or shouldn't, share fluid.

23 spline outer

Tcase has two 30mm plug bolts on the tcase. One to fill one to empty. Easy peasy
