I found some flaws myself haynes manuals are only 80% acurate imo. I hardly use it anymore its either the factory service manual or here lol.

Do NOT use the band adjustments in the Haynes manual.
Get the proper factory specs from the fsm for your year. They changed between years often.

Haynes is a terrible manual to own, get a copy of the factory manual.

Haynes can be useful for photos. I use a combination of the FSM, Haynes and this forum. Both the FSM and Haynes can overcomplicate things, telling you to remove parts that don't need removing and making jobs longer than they need to be.

They're also good for lining the bottom of bird cages.

I use haynes, chilton, fsm and good ol jeep forum for all my needs. It's like detective work sometimes. You need everyone's stories to get the right one!

I use my chilton which is 10 times better than the haynes in my opinion. And I use jeep forum.

wouldn't the first niners have been built in 1997?

...just trying to find a way to make it not so wrong :p

They were definitely building the 5.9s towards the end of 97 as a 98 model year of course.
