Noob about Tires/Rim size

hey everyone, sorry I've been asking a lot of dumb questions but i'm what you might call "mechanically retarded" and i'm trying to learn. so I'm trying to buy rims for my 94 ZJ and my friend says I need to know the bolt pattern, center bore, and factory offset. what I've found is the bolt pattern is 5x4.5 and the center bore is 71.5mm but I can't find the offset. i'm going to be buying 17x8 rims and try to fit tires that basically measure to about 33 11.2 according to the tire shop. if those don't fit then it's 33 10.5s... can somebody PLEASE tell me the factory offset? any advice/suggestions?

Unless you have a limited, the 94ZJs came with stock with 15 x 7 inch rims with 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern with 5.5 inches of backspacing. Your 32 inch tires will not fit into your wheel wells stock. Nor will the 33 x 10s.

Have you looked at the faqs page to see what fits and what doesn't?

Backspacing and offset are the same thing using different words.

Most ZJs will run 15 x 8s with 3.75 of backspacing for 32s or bigger.

That paints an entirely different picture.

With the 4 inch lift, the 32s will fit no problem. You'll still need rims with less backspacing that stockers. 3.75 is perfect or even 4 inches.
