Nokian Vatiiva Reaction

Had these tires installed, 235-65/17, about a month ago, and tonight was the first time I actually got to use them in a snowstorm. Holy cow, what a tire. Tread is aggressive, but road noise is minimal. Dry/wet traction is great.

Drove through the storm in the NE tonite, over the berkshires. I never felt a slip, never got squirrely, never felt unsafe. I looked in my rearview at one point and had 6 cars following my tracks. Number stayed constant for about 30 miles. I even tried gettin the rear to kick out once I got closer to home, with no success. Incredible grip in the snow

Now I just have to figure out if the ice buildup on my brake pads is normal......that made for a couple of interesting situations...

Got em for 130/tire mounted and balanced. NEver been happier with a set of rubber on any vehicle I've owned.

Nokian makes the best snow tires. Period. I had a set of Hakka 1's that gave me 7 (!) winters worth of service, and the grip was still amazing. They'd still be on the car this winter except one needed a plug a couple of years ago and it went out of round toward the end of last season.

What else would you expect from a tire company located where it's winter for half the year?

Sorry Hunter....put the ban stick down Crappy cell phone pics

And I must say, the Jeep rides 100 times better than with the old Goodyear Eagles. Feels much more substantial than before.

Haha I didn't even realize until I saw those photos on my computer screen. There's a loooootta space in those wheel wells....

Unfortunately, No $$ = No lift + tires...

King,

the stick was never even close. Nice tires.

Nick is just jealous.
