Noise is finally GONE!!

After about a month and a half of killing myself every weekend looking for a source of this horrible clunking noise, i finally fixed it! Those stupid front lower control arms...every time i checked them out they "looked" to be fine. I guess looks isn't everything. Took it down today and the center sleeve was elongated and the bushing was torn. Who's looks stupid now!?! I even replaced the track bar with KOR's TB conversion thinking that was the problem. It didn't fix the noise but my old TB was going bad and boy did that make a big difference. So i just put in a new control arm and now...finally done! A piece of advice to anyone who has a mysterious front end noise...check those control arm bushings.

I had the exact same experience. I had a terrible popping noise everytime I turned left or hit a bump. Starter right after I installed my bb's. Took me a month to figure out my drivers side control arm. I took it off, and put it back on, no noise! Been fine ever since.

Huh ... figures I would read something about it after I replaced the part. I had my ZJ's brakes power flushed today and they said the mysterious noise was my front, driver side stabilizer bar link. Replaced it for $35 and I now have a nice and quiet ride

Edit: On the way to have the lines flushed, I took a corner harder than usual and I must have put the final straw into ripping that link apart, because the noise got 3 times louder. That's my guess as to how they were able to find the problem so easily. Plus they wanted $105 installed... I told them I'd do it myself
