No Spark

I have a 95 GC, 4.0 auto. I went home after work, parked in my garage. I needed to run an errand, and the trusty Jeep would not start. It turns over fine, but has no spark. I've replaced the crank shaft position (GSPS) sensor, still no go. I took it to a mechanic, who has traced the problem that there is no juice going to the to the crank (GSPS). He has not found any broken wires.

I'm out of ideas, so I'm asking the forum as to their thoughts....

He should ohm-out the wires from the PCM to the sensor. If they check out fine then it could be a PCM/computer issue? However this is tricky as the PCM will cut power to the automatic shutdown relay if the PCM does not receive a signal from the CPS; after three seconds. So you have to look at the voltmeter right away after turning the key.

UPDATE After tracing the wiring, and all looks good, On a hunch, I purchased another crank shaft position sensor (GSPS) from a different auto parts supplier. the mechanic installed the new GSPS, we have spark. the jeep would start, but die after a few minutes... (progress has been made) The coil pack was replaced, and now she runs like new...

The 1st GSPS was purchased at advanced Auto Parts, the 2nd from NAPA. I've been told that electrical parts from Advance Auto Parts are of suspect quality. NAPA's are better, more expensive, but better, In this case, I got what I paid for. Yes, I will be returning the 1st GSPS for a refund.
