I'm trying to get a 93ZJ up and running again.
When I bought it, the ZJ didn't have a head unit. The harness didn't look too hacked up, so I purchased a stock replacement from ebay (CD/AM/FM - No cassette).
I installed this, antenna, and ground wire. However, when trying to tune stations or play a CD, I get no sound. If I crank the volume, I get a tinny garbled sound, but only on one track and only on the CD.
What other components were installed in my jeep from the factory? Is there normally an underseat amp? I've searched, and everyone says that a ground short will cause tinny sounding speakers. I'm not sure if that's my problem, since I'm not really getting any sound at all.
