No kickdown?

Alright guys heres what i got, I have a 93 Jeep grand cherokee limited with the 4.0L, with the AWD.

I'm having issues with the trans. it will not kickdown. seems to start in second gear when taking off. When pedal is to the ground there is no burst of power, no kickdow the pass.

Sometimes when the jeep is first started it seems to have the first gear untill u reach a stop and then it seems to shift fast into second, and just has slow acceleration.

I have checked kickdown cable and seems to all be hooked up, i have even tried adjusting the cable and no difference.

Anyone have anyidea what else could cause this, anything else that could cause an issue like this. i get no codes and fuses seem fine.

1. Fresh fluid + filter

2. Gov pressure solenoid + sensor. Easily exposed when you have the pan off to do number 1 above ^^^^

Get the upgraded Borg Warner unit. Actually about $20 _cheaper_ than the crappy-design oem replacement.

3. Install a drain plug in your pan while you have it off. First time dropping a pan without one will convince anyone of this.
