@bhcoffey here my E0 is Premium, so I get the best of it. All of the best additives for Premium plus none of the harm from the water hoarding corn oil in my systems. A lot of the additives in the Ethanol are to counteract the damage...

Does the octane rating mean nothing. Ive read before that 93 octane typically doesnt have E in it. Ive always used 93 in my small engines and havent had any issues. Our marina has pure gas and its like $4.80 a gallon. We use 93 at the local gas station and it does ok.

You can get e10 93 here. There's only four places in town with e free 93 but ones close to work.

Yea, octane is a whole other story, there's probably a whole debate there on whether 93 does any better than 87...but most name brand stations will advertise "ALL grades contain up to 10% ethanol" that's what I see most often round here...the few no ethanol stations make a big deal to advertise it, but it's mostly no brand country stores in my area.

Yep, E0 hard to find here. I can't figure out why they don't advertise it, but they don't. Agreed on the octane discussion, I find the Jeep w/ I6 runs just as well on the 87, but I don't have that option here w/out ethanol. I am very happy to have the option at all.

Yeah I'm not saying that 93 is better than 87 in itself. I've always used it hoping it didn't have E in it. I have always read that gas will loose its octane rating over time also. More so if it has E in it, so I figure if I start at 93 and let a can sit all winter or have some in my lawn mower, it should help to have 93 to start out with.

I always use Stabil Marine grade in the fall with boats and small engines that I care about. Just put some in my 5.9 yesterday also. Its not been driven in over 3 months now. Has a full tank too.

Not going to read other posts, but economically it's like this... A gallon of pure ethanol has about 50% of the potential energy as one gallon of pure gas. SOOOOO, if we are talking about a 10% ethanol blend, you will get 5% lower miles per gallon. Therefore, all other issues aside ( and there are a lot of other issues), if the non Ethanol fuel has up to 5% higher price or less of e10, than it is worth the extra cost.

how did you get that profile pic of some girl assaulting your jeep with her butt? and you trying to shove her off your jeep? that had to be staged. no way someone could have captured that in a random photo.

Guess im lucky in Louisiana I can look out my door and see a non ethanol station. It's 3.49 e10 and 3.69 for non.
I've read all the great stories about e10 and won't use it unless it means I'll have to push my jeep.

I contacted the Seafoam company about this some years back. I cant remember the exact science behind it but they told me Seafoam does something to the E10 to disperse it or something like that. Every fill up I put about half a can of it in the tank. It gets me another 3mpg at average. Yes Seafoam is a little costly but IMO well worth the benefits that come with it.

Not trying to be rude but this sounds crazy to me.
I think if seafoam gained you 3mpg then everyone would be using it and we would have the great seafoam shortage of 2014

I use 87 oct from the same station every time I fill up. Without seafoam I get 13 city 16 highway in my 5.2 with 204k. With seafoam I get close to 16 city and 19.5 highway. That is averaged by using my odometer not the info center.
Most people imo don't want to shell out the $7.99 to $9.99 per can that's why more people don't use it.
It is also one of the best additives for storing gas with E10 in it. I have left my generator sit for 1 year already using seafom and it fired right up with no problems. Next time you fill up put half a can of it in your tank and judge for yourself how much better the vehicle performs.
