new tires

i was lookin to get new tires for 2000 grand cherokee and i had a couple of questions....

1) The stock tires are 245s... can i got wider?

2) Any suggestions on tires ... mostly for city and highway driving, im lookin for more of a longer lasting quiet tire

any suggestions would be alot of help

You can go wider with some trimming. my 245/75's rub at full lock barely so any wider (w/o trimming or a lift) is going to be even more rubbing.

I went with stock sized revos on 2 2000 GC's, love em. Put them on an 01 expediton too, much better then the jeep good years or michelein LTX. They've been longer lasting on all 3 vehicles, limited body roll, very nice. Do better in snow and mud then either of the other tires as well.
