New Muffler

I'd like to get a new muffler but don't know what kind to get. I want one that lets more noise through than the stock one does. I'm looking for some that aren't too expensive. What would you guys recommend? what does it sound like? and how much?

Magnaflow
Flowmaster

Might as well throw on a matching catalytic converter while you're under there.

Roughly $75.00-$125.00 depending on what coupons you use.

Welded thrush muffler side like a flowmaster but half the price. Nice deep tone on a 4.0. V8s are even better. Had two on my v8 Cj. Found mine at advanced auto for 39.99

Is Thrush the brand with the Woodpecker on the box?

Those are pretty good.

Yup it is
Heard a thrush side by side compared to my flowmaster, almost the exact same

I love my thrush welded. Had a kid at school ask which v8 I had cuz of the sound. He didn't believe I have a 4.0 till I showed him...

I've seen that at autozone. Wasn't sure how good it would sound because of the price but I'll have to pick one up knowing they sound good.

What about a new catalytic converter for a good price? and why would I need to upgrade that? just better airflow?

Yeah pretty much, and it'll probably work better than the old one you have now
Hit up kolak for the cat

And i would say super 40 or the trush, and a magnaflow cat
...also i suggest a new exhaust. I got mine from IRO for 326 shipped, kolaks is a very similar price

If you have the original, it's only a matter of time until the honeycomb collapses.

Plus better flow with an aftermarket one. And sound.

My Magnaflow converter was $65.00 shipped on eBay.

Dynomax Ultra Flo.

Best sounding 4.0 muffler hands down (video doesnt do it justice)

Glasspacks are cool but if you have neighbors/cops in your area, don't get one.
