I had planned on welding D-rings to my bumper and build a different rear bumper to match the front with rings. Any fab kinda stuff I can do myself already have an abundance of steel and a welder at my farm
Don't weld anything to the front bumper. You'll rip the metal as soon as you go to use them, possibly causing serious injury to someone. Get proper recovery: factory tow hooks with backing plates, a KOR radiator support, a real bumper, etc.

Much stronger, direct bolt in if you have 3.73 gears. Not a great selection of lockers, etc. Worth it if you can't justify a 8.8 swap or going to tons. Depends on the wheeling you do, a conservative driver with a brain won't snap a d35 on 35's, too much skinny pedal at the wrong time and it will snap with stock tires on the street.
Real recovery, (I love the kor radiator support) skids everywhere, sliders. OBA is nice, airing down gets you very far.
