Update, Last days have been good Jeep days, got lots of Work done and things off my list, hopefully it will be ready for periodic control early next week

Day 1,
-New battery terminals,
-Engine oil and filter, used what i had around, fram filter which i found inside the Jeep and some 10W-40 my friend had, will do another oil change within short time, cause engine has been sitting for 2 years, also got 265k km on it, so getting the dirt out aint wrong.
-Fixed headlights, new bulbs, new sockets, properly done with heat shrink, old sockets was coroded, melted, cracked and what not.
-Fixed fog light in bumber so now i have all light in order again, only need That broken turn light glass replaced, new ones ordered, will take from white Jeep of not here by next week.

Day 2,
First i did all 4 brakes, cleaned up Sh with a steel brush, lubricated with copper grease, everything looked and moved like supoused to, a little glazing on the front right pads That has been sticking, PO replaced pads and rotors, but its Been sitting for a year or two after That.

Allan replaced Serpentinebelt and PCV, thx

So i did the fuel filter, inspected for gas leak, looked like the rotten hose from hard hose to filter, replaced it, but still leaks Looked like it came more from the top off the tank, so i dropped it after struggling with rusted threads for 1.5hours. Right on, it was the hard hose at the bend of the quick conection to the pump.

Ok, so i cut it off, pushed on a new hose with a clamp and raised the tank up into place again, Still Leaks, Dropped tank once more, found the plastic going out of pump broken off DONT ASK HOW I MANAGED THAT!!!
So we disassemblied pump, and threaded a new metal conector into the pump, glued it to be sure it couldnt Get loose, new hose from pump to filter, raised tank, conected everything,,,
TATAA, finaly leak cured, after hours with NON recomendeble gas sniffing, made me really dizzy today, i hate That Sh,
BIG THX to Harald, could fixed the pump without his help.

Day 3, today
-Filled up with gas and STP injection cleaner, fuel gauge shows correct, phu
-Adjusted Steering wheel which was off,
-Fixed 3th brake light, no power on wire, traced it down to the left side panel electronic Steering box thingy, no power out from this unit, so i simply cut wire off and hooked it into the brake light wire going to the taillight.
-Started to trace down power to licence plate lights, found power inside hatch at conector, didnt have the time to finish up,,,,,
so thats it for now, more to come, stay tuned

What engine oil would be my best choice going into a cold Winter session?
What viscousity oil do These 5.2's prefer?
10W-30, 15W-40???
Engine got 265k km~165k miles on it,
So should i stay away from syntetic? Or not?

How harsh are the winters? I run 10W-30 but it only gets down to 20F degrees here.

I'm usually happy with 5W-30 in the winter and keeping the block heater plugged in when it gets really cold. If I was in Fairbanks I'd probably drop to 0W, but here on the coast I don't feel like the couple weeks of -20F we get is worth changing oil for.

Ok, 5W-30 Valvoline syn power MST i have in my garage, i think i will pour that in before it gets below freezing point.
If not a 10W-30 high milage would be better?
How bad is it That i used a 10W-40 for now, just as a quick/flush change?

I love the progress by the way! I did see that your temperatures get a tad cooler than me here in TX.... I would recommend 10w-30 or 10w-40, not just because of the higher mileage, and not because the lighter oil may cause damage or something, but a peace of mind I would add. I run and will always run (Rotella T5 10w-30) in my vehicles, because as a $$$ to product ratio, there is no superior option, just me through. (local Walmart@16.99). You will cause no harm in changing the oil from 5w-30 to 10w-40 once and awhile, however I would not choose to do it every other time. (TIME & MONEY) it is not in my plans to be doing such things in 4'F weather! Again, I wish you the best of luck with your project and get that turn signal assembly fixed!

I would run a 5w-30,5w-40, 0w-30, 0w-40 is if gets that cold. You can switch in warmer weather but in temps like 20* you are going to want a thinner oil at start up to get it circulating faster.
If you have oil leaks I would not use a full synthetic. It may leak more with synthetic and it's a waste of money if it does. Just change the oil more often and use a blend.
