New beater ZJ, some???
Maybe going for a DD/Beater swap, might get this one for cheap, lol looks like a good project.
but dont know to much about Those 5.2's

It would be Nice to upgrade to a 95 limited with V8 ;) from my 94 4,0 laredo,,,
It has new brakes all around, new bushings and balljoints all over the front end,
98 5.9 interior stereo and hood,
Good Winter wheels,,, ;)

Licence plates been off, need new periodic control to Get them back on, seller Claims rear diff seal is only thing need to be fixed from the control list.

It also have some idle issues. Seller tried new IAC, but maybe not cleaned Throttle body, or TPS/MAP?

It also have a bad battery, can this maybe be the one and only issue causing electronic to Go haywire and cause idle issues?

Going to see it and hopefully buy it in this weekend.

Bad battery can definitely cause you problems, these vehicles are sensitive to that.

Sticking front right brake caliper, seemed to fixed itself after 200km,,,?
ABS light on,

What fluid goes into these ZJ 95 5.2's?
What trans do i got? ATF?
Axles? Fluid 75w-140?
Transfer 249, ATF?
What spark plugs?

Planing a full Tune up, pls advice recomend fluids etc,,,

riot1987 11-09-2013 02:09 PM

I wanna say your trans is a 46rh..? I believe 93-95 5.2's had the bigger, hydraulic transmission, I know 95 they changed a lot of stuff. Look in the FAQ's section. lots of stuff there

Thomahawk 11-09-2013 02:16 PM

^^^46RH, is correct i believe,
Dana 44A rear
Dana 30 front
NP-249 transfer

Pierre_r 11-09-2013 02:42 PM

ATF +4 in the trans (even says so on the dipstick)
Axles, 75-90 or 75-140 + LS additive for the rear.
Transfer, ATF i use the same as in my trans.
(My trans has been rebuilt and works with dexIII now)

Cool but what engine oil does it prefer,
And what spark plugs?

Thx ;)

Pierre_r 11-09-2013 03:02 PM

I use castrol 15w-40 in mine and a wix 51085 oilfilter.
Last time i bought sparkplugs for it i got ac delco plugs with this number: DEL41629

Now i have kolaks ignitionupgrade on it so i dont run stock anymore.

Thomahawk 11-09-2013 03:06 PM

How about any noticeble differences with the Kolak upgrade?
Any info/expirience about upgrading to 3" exhaust?

Pierre_r 11-09-2013 03:16 PM

The only thing i have noticed is that the idle is a little smoother + it looks good in the enginebay with red wires and msd coil.
I have a set of doug thorley headers that i am going to put on it sometime in the future and already have a 3"cat muffler and pipe from IRO.

Wich btw was a complete pain in the *** too install with the jeep at stock height because of their pipe being a one piece.

Lots of more Work need to be done,

Always a great start to do the maintenance first and then go from there. Oh, by the way that broken front driver's side turn signal light assembly lens is killing me! hahaha. Keep it up!

The time now is 07:05 PM.
