Need some help

I have a 97 Grand Cherokee with a 4.0 automatic for about 2yrs. It has always cranked over for about 30secs before it would start. Yesterday I was driving it and it shut off completely. The fuel pump is kicking in and its getting fuel. The fuel gauge doesnt show any fuel even though it has half a tank. The voltmeter gauge doesnt work neither does the oil pressure gauge. It just cranks over and wont start. Tried hooking up an engine diagnostic tool and it says no link. Think maybe the computer is shot. Any help is apperciated.

That year had a recall on the fuel tank sending unit. Take your VIN# to a dealer and check to see if it was done or look it up online. I think Chrysler has a site for checking your recalls.

Do that before you tackle the stalling problem....it might be connected. If not, check our Zeejay's "12 things to check if your Jeep is stalling", here in this section. It's about time your PCM went bad anyway. Most of the rest already have. I'm on my 5th one.
