Need a new Muffler (open to opinions)

Hi everybody
I need a new muffler and cat, the stock one is hanging down and is beat up bad. Everyone is telling me to get a flowmaster 40 but i find those to be to loud for me. Im kinda leaning more towards one of the flowmaster 50 models because they seem quieter.

Basically I want a muffler and cat that is small and quiet so it can be tucked up as high as possible under the jeep.

Thanks guys

I wouldn't get the flowmaster 40 for a six cylinder. I think the 40 series sound better on V8's and sound weird on six cylinders.

I had a thrush turbo muffler on my ZJ. Sounded good, and was only $20 bucks. Got to the point where it was too quiet for me so I cut it off and and running it dumped after the cat.

I bought a cat from AutoZone for our ZJ 5.9 Limited for $113 It was a Flowmaster. Then I put just a turbo behind it.

I just put a Walker Quietflow 3 in my daughter's 4.0L '96 Laredo last week and she likes the sound. They had a $40 mail in rebate going until 5/31/09, so it was half off the regular $80 price.

X2 on that if you want it quiet but a nice sound. Personally I love my super 40, but there's no question the 70 has a great sound.

I really like my magnaflow! It's not that loud until you press hard on the gas. It's also the best flowing muffler for jeeps.

flowmaster 40 with 6cylinder on youtube

I went with a dynomax from advance for $40 and it is quieter than the flowmaster. Not as quiet as stock.

I went with the Flow50DF. I think it sounds great on the I6. I'd go with a 50 if you want mild to aggressive and a 70 if you want mellow.
