Need help with squeaking/rattling noise

Ive got a 96 zj, lately nice had a squeaking/rattling noise coming from somewhere in the front end. It only does it when I'm driving, and the faster I go, the louder and faster the noise is. I'm not a mechanic by any means, so I'm trying to find some suggestions on what I need to check, or how to fix whatever it may be.

metal parts can rub against each other and make an annoying squeaking sound. So it could be anywhere near the driveshaft or axles (knuckle area). look for bare metal. also check your brake rotors, sometimes a bent piece of metal (like the shield that protects your brakes from debris) can rub against the brake rotor and cause a squeaking that gets more frequent with speed.

I know my bushings need to be replaced, but that wouldn't get louder the faster I'm going, and I've checked the dust shield, it got bent and was scraping when I turned, but I fixed that, and that was a completely different noise. This almost sounds like something is loose and spinning

remove front driveshaft. hit the pinion with a rubber mallet, listen for a cling and watch for movement. old pinion bearings can loosen up and allow movement.
