Need help with keyless entry

Hello I recently bought a 1995 jeep grand cherokee laredo, from what I know it came with the OEM keyless entry. The guy who i bought it off of also put in a Nordic keyless entry. Now the OEM works fine but its only good for 3 feet and sometimes not even that, the Nordic one only starts the vehicle but also has the buttons for the keyless entry. So I was wondering if I can take the OEM one out and just hook the Nordic one so that I can just use one remote. Thanks
