Nav/CD System

I'm not totally familiar to the in's and out's of how my RB1 (i think it's called) nav/cd system works. I was wondering if the slot above the screen that normally contains the nav CD can read a music cd when the nav cd is removed?

I don't think so, what is wrong with the regular place for CD's?

Ya, it reads music CDs. It also reads CD-R much better than the changer dose. Any one else have problems with their changer reading burned music?

Not with my Jeep. The oldest, crappiest ones work fine for me. With my '98 Lincoln, though, it would only read newer CD-R's. My really old ones (from the mid-90's) didn't work. I think the Lincoln wouldn't read the gold-colored discs.

Weird. My WJ's changer will read the CD-Rs most of the time. Some times I have to switch disks and switch back to the one I want before it will read it and not give me the ERROR message.

Maybe its just the brand of disks I'm using and the speed I'm burning at.
