Mysterious head lights turning on themselves

My 1996 Grand Cherokee's head lights seem to come on by themselves at night about once a week with the truck off and stay on, till the battery dies (This seems to happen on Saturday night for same reason around 2am). The switch is in the off position and not on auto. Does anyone know what to do?

all canadian jeeps have a daytime running lamp module. and they will cause the lamps to come on by themselves.

Shouldn't. As for as I know for the DRL's to work the key must be in the On possion. They are not wired directly to you main light system. They run on thier own separate system and only opperate at 30% power, while your regular lights opperate at 100% power.
