My WJ... Its broke... (W/ pics that are not at the mall)

Its been sitting for 2 or 3 weeks now. The rear end is going out. The differential bearings, pinion seal and pinion bearing are howling BAD in the rear. The pinion seal and pinion bearing in the front are shot. I have a misfire in one of my cylinders and my tranny is starting to slip once in awhile. But she has been good to me. Im getting the itch and thought Id post a few pics to remind me of the good times.

A week old... A/t's. I was skirting the edge of this and my wifes says "Yeah, youre good, go ahead." then I slide into it.

I went and bought some MTR's. 245/75/16 and turned to JF.com to see if they would fit without a lift. All posts said they would fit without offroading. So I got them mounted before trimming my bumper cover. Bad idea. They rubbed leaving my driveway.

So I trimmed it and then tested it out.

Went on a trail run with some friends in lifted Rubicons. Trails were tight for my big turd. Trees were rubbing me all day.

The wife and I went out trailrunning with both Jeeps. We do that alot. Here are some pics from different trips.

My CPS went out. My wife helped get it out since I have fat hands.

I took it for a test run.

I made it through. With problems. My fan fuse under the hood went out and I didnt know this. Which led to overheating of the motor and tranny. Which fried my governor and sensor in my tranny. Booooo....

I look at some of the lifted Jeeps on here and get envious but I remember just how well my stocker does. I wish I had pics of some of the better stuff Ive had it through. I think over the next year I might lift it to 3" but my main concern will be skids and protection.

I miss my WJ.

Enjoy.

We went out almost every weekend over the summer. This is my first experience with a Grand. Ive only had it about 6 months. Ive been impressed with it honestly.

Haha, I wouldnt go that far. But thank you none the less.

Stock tires are 225/75's or 29.3" and these are 245/75's or 30.5"s. So not much taller at all.

I just turned over 153K on it. Yes, I plan on fixing everything.

My wife and I have three kids. Needless to say that the Jeep is low in the priority scale. Especially this time of the year. Christmas, birthdays, etc...

I appreciate that! Right now I am saving for the master install kit so I can get it on the road again. Then the front pinion bearing/seal will be next.

I havent opened it up yet so Im hoping my R&P are still ok. I put some miles on it with it whirring.
