THIS.... Where's the responsible parent? She needs to be involved w/ this.

I would like to thank everyone for all the responses. I appreciate the jeep community lending the hand.

An update:
He changed the pinion angle and using a ratchet strap and some bottle jacks twisted everything back so he could bolt the upper control arms on and all only to make his problem worse. He became very frustrated. I moved out the day after this thread started and now have been living with this very nice couple on the other side of my town. It's been nice to get out of the chaos.

I received a call from my moms boyfriend about two weeks ago asking for my help to look at another cherokee he wanted to trade for. I came by took own look at It, test drove it where it shut off twice... And upon my return from the test drive i told him to trade. He now has my sister driving a 100% functional stock 97 grand Cherokee. He won't touch it because he doesn't want to screw it up. The previous owner told me they cut off the cat because it ran like crap and it was red hot, they as well put in new plugs, wires, fuel filter, and fuel pump after cutting off the cat. It was an ignition misfire originally, the cat melted and clogged the muffler because of that and they replaced the wires and plugs fixing the misfire but not the clogged muffler. Now the exhaust needed to be replaced and it runs like a champ! Go 4.0!!!!

My little sister will be taking my buck leashed 98 custom upon my departure for Texas on the 5th of january.

I carry a valve core remover 24/7 in case I encounted a dbag such as this guy. They're always right, and they'll swear up and down there's a slow leak in the tire. They'll NEVER think to check the slightly loosened valve core

On the death wobble, front tires could be bad even if they look ok.
Happened to us, went threw entire front end replacing parts, trying different things, checking everything to avoid buying new tires. Finally just did it and no DW for last 2 years. Also got them road force balanced.

Part of the clue came when I took jeep in to get the tires balanced and the machine could not get a balance on them. There was decent tread left on those tires.

Take the bolt out of the control arm with the bad bushing a night before he is supposed to drive it the next morning..

He will think the problem has gotten way worse and then see the shot arm hangin down
