It's not the same as the Dodge 46RE because of the starter location. It's sucks too because there are plenty of Dodge 46 RE's out there.

my starter on my 5.2 is passenger side.

all v8 ZJs had the starter on the passenger side. All dodge trucks with the 5.2/5.9 had it on the driver side

Was that some kind of karate car? All the damage appears to be internal (frame). Dang shame no matter what. I would buy it, and part it. You say re ended I am seeing in my head broken glass and an accordian rear half.

ya right! I was surprised how "ok" it looked as hard as i got hit. her car hit the hitch directly so it just kinked the frame. My only concern is how good it will pull back on a frame machine. Only parts it would need is bumper, bumper cover and the tailgate which was starting to rot on the bottom anyway. The insurance adjuster said it would be a total. Hopefully the salvage value is low enough i can buy it back, fix it cheap, and drive it till i find a new vehicle. Maybe even use it as a trade in or sell it outright. I dont know what to do, cant make up my mind. Love the truck, but with 230,000 i have a hard time justifying putting money into it.....

Looks like less damage than I had on my green one.

Niner parts are hard to find, at least part it out.

You can drop the 5.9 engine into any other V8 grand pretty easily (for an engine swap) find a 97 or 98 with a blown engine or trans, part it out and move the niner parts over.

I figured to part it out at the very least. I know theres alot of 5.9 only stuff that is getting harder and harder to find. If i was going to fix it id probably just sell it outright/trade it in when i find a new vehicle. I love the truck, but the gas mileage is horrible and i need something a little bigger. Maybe ill save it for a woods truck idk. Really depends how much the insurance co tries to screw me on it lol

There's been a couple one's bought that are listed on the forums for $500, and $200 each as of late(yes, $200). They don't have twisted frames(that the owner has said), so you should be able to get it for Less than $200. Hopefully! Take it to get the frame straitened, and Keep her Going. These Jeep ZJs are good til the frame rusts out... Even then if you have a welder and patience, it'll last longer. As for Worth, Used car lots and KBB has ALWAYS undervalued these cars. I still see mine as worth $10K...

Ya I'm figuring/hoping to get between 5-6 grand out of them but we'll see. I looked around online and the cheapest I found was 4900 for a toilet with just under 200,000 on it. Mine has 230 but is in really good shape for the miles. Kid before me bought in 06 w 80,000 on it so most of the miles were highway assumably since he put on 120k in 4 years.
