So I almost flooded my Jeep on this last trip, went in this crazy deep water and splashed up. Check it out she sounds like she's trying to quit on me. I think i got some water in the intake or something. It cleared itself out but did give me a little fright.

I'm gonna post up a vid on youtube from the whole trip later

You know, now that I'm thinking about it, is it possible that like I shorted a spark plug for a few seconds and maybe that made it misfire? Still trying to figure out exactly why it acted like this.

Well u did dunk the whole front end underwater while on the throttle. My bet is u sucked up some water through the intake.

I'd think that was the case, idk I figured it'd hydrolock if i got it water in it, instead it just sputtered. Got luck i guess!

Fourth Prentice Cooper Trip

A Little light wheeling from a couple weeks ago. Got water up the exhaust and killed the engine in a pit, so i had to yank it out with my friends jeep and jump off the battery to clear it out. Fun time!
After that trip I think i've decided to snorkal my exhaust out the back and up to my bumper level, we'll see if i can figure out how to do it.

Exhaust Snorkal

Finally fixed my exhaust problem! I made a removable exhaust snorkel. Since my exhaust exits the bottom of my Heep, I figured why not just bring it right out by the door?

Here's the clamps under the Jeep;

Going out and up the side;

So there we go! No more stalling it in deep water like I did last time!

I took the piping off and threw it in the back, so when I go to do any water crossings I'll throw it on, just gotta make sure I take if off before I do any rocks cause that thing won't last through that!

I think that comes with any vehicle with 250k miles but ya jeeps have tons of mods and things were always doing with them too that are never cheap it seems.

Well I guess I'll update what I'm doing with the thing right now seeing as I have some time to kill before my first class.

I'm having problems with the transfer case, it still drives but I'm pretty sure the chain is stretched, so I'm tearing down the transfer case next week to try and fix it. If the case is a bust I'll probably start moving towards a 231 or 242 swap. I've never worked on transfer cases before so this is going to be a learning experience.

I'm also in the slow process of bed lining my floors. So far I've gutted the carpet and drilled drain holes and re-plugged the floor. Next week while the Jeep is down for t-case work I figure I might as well pull the interior out and work on prepping the floors for bed lining. The plan will be to do this when I run into problems with the t-case. That way I can still make forward progress and not just sit there.

So hears to getting this thing fixed and getting it back out on the trails

OH, and I'm trying something fun with plastidip on the headlights. Just wanted to see what it would look like with 'circle' headlights.

Oh yeah for sure, especially when you start wheeling them when they already have high miles. Problems just come outta no-where! Haha the jeep life I guess
