This is what happens when you don't properly grease the muffler bearings!

Muffler bearings? I thought they were only on the 93.5-93.75 model ZJ with the additional modular infraction zone enhancer? Maybe I am wrong here though, I have been before on such matter!

That was only on the export models. My 96 4.0 came with them. It could have been a dealer add on, who knows. What I do know is that if you don't keep them greased... BOOM!

That's where I am going wrong also - mine is a made-in-Austria RHD model... Plus i am from the bottom of the world...

Makes sense that things will be arse-backwards...
