more tv cable adjustment questions

I found some great info on adjusting this cable, but not much on the other two cables. I was just curious if it was okay with a cold engine to have slack on the other two cables? I have a 5.2L which seems to be pretty much same as the 4.0 and even the 5.9. for these cables anyhow.

First Jeep was an 1989 YJ, 6 cylinder 4.2L , 258. Nuttered and TeamRushed, Weber 38 DGES, Now, I'm venturing into the world of Grand Cherokees

The other 2 are throttle (gas pedal) and cruise control. Throttle cable being as old as it is probably has stretched some and has a little slack. Not a huge deal. I'm pretty sure the cruise should be loose when not in use too.
