I found an OEM pushbar for a ZJ on a local classified site, and am considering picking it up. It apparently comes with all the mounting hardware (bolts and brackets).
My question is, would this be an acceptable front recovery point? And how far will it stick out (only ever seen a pic of one a long time ago); I have no bumper up front.
Thanks guys!

I wouldn't use it for recovery.

I would like to but everything in the JY here is salt rusted to hell, not to mention the loctite on everything. If I find some I will try, though.

btdt - 13mm socket for the horn brackets, 15mm socket, 1/2 drive breaker bar, 1/2 drive ratchet, ideally a small propane torch to heat the threads in the frame-rail plates, a can of wd-40 to spray the threads liberally and often during removal to avoid snapping the heads off in the process. The tow-hook hardware itself is 18mm top and bottom.

There is a plate with 2 studs welded to it which pushes down thru the bottom of the rad core support to give further torsional strength to the brackets. This stud plate (which stacks ontop of the tow bracket ((which stacks ontop of the core support))) is hard to get off but even harder to get back on when it's your a/c condenser that is at risk.
I used the softgrip handle of a screwdriver to slowly roll the fins of the a/c condenser up and out of the way to make room for the studplate. You have to angle the studplate ontop of the bracket and then work the combination into place under the condenser fins. Make sure to get this inplace BEFORE you install the frame-rail plates and start bolting them together.

You could just get the mopar push bar and film trying to pull something with it.
