Mopar or Aftermarket
My IAC is on its way out. I don't have any codes but I am pretty sure thats what it is. When I come to a complete stop the rpms hang up at about 1000 and then slowly put down to about 500-550 sometimes as low a 400-450. I ad cleaned it out a while ago with tb cleaner (which was recommended by local stealership, I found out later that was a big no no). Would you buy a Mopar one ($82) or aftermarker ($60ish)? How do they match up.

Maybe. Hmmm, how exactly ethical is that?

Autozone's policy is if you buy a part and try to install it and it's the wrong one or doesn't fix your problem they will let you bring it back and trade it or give you a refund. That's just good business.

NAPA usually has some better quality Canadian made parts that last longer for the most part, at least in my experience. However, some of their stuff also is the cheaper stuff. |

Buy Mopar, they last at least twice the mileage.

I worked in auto parts stores for many years, so I speak from experience. Unfortunately, lots of returned parts get cleaned up (maybe) put back in the box & back on the shelf for the next buyer. Not such a great deal for the next guy who comes along and buys a new (unknown to him, slightly used) part that the guy before him hooked up wrong and is now blown. The poor guy will spend hours trying to figure out what's happening, since it can't be a bad part because it's "new". Maybe a liberal return policy can be a double edged sword?
